Some Great Coupons

I just wanted to share some great printable coupons available right now...

$2/1 Healthy Choice - almost free at Wal-Mart - print here
(thanks The Frugal Girl)

Redplum has some great coupons available... success rice, frosted mini wheats, quaker chewy bars (my kids' favorites), and more - go here

Money Saving Mom has some great printable coupons... trident (on sale at Wal-greens) is just one of them... click here

Publix has Wise Cheez Doodles on sale (BOGO) - and you can get a coupon by going to Wise Buys

I have started going onto restaurants websites too. Some of my favorite restaurants offer discounts/coupons through their "eClubs"... a few ideas to look at... Abuelos, Chilis, Ruby Tuesday, Mimi's Cafe, Dairy Queen, Uno, Texas de Brazil, Longhorn... and the list goes on and on...

A few tips for things I have found that really save me time...

1. Get my kids to help. I really love looking through all the coupons and clipping them. Yes it does take time, but my kids think it's funny to sit and watch me go through them all each week. And they will help me sort them into my coupon bin too. So, I have my kids help to save a little time. (sometimes it takes a little bribery)

2. Utilize websites and blogs. I have several that I love. And they send me an email each day highlighting the great deals that have been found. Since I really don't have tons of time to spend trying to find ALL the best deals - this really helps. AND they find a lot that I wouldn't find on my own. I love The Frugal Girls and Deal Seeking Mom. A serious couponer that I know loves Money Saving Mom. There are more that are great too - and I read each of them to make sure I won't be spinning my wheels in all the wrong directions.

3. Exchange coupons. I have a friend at work that brings me the coupons she doesn't want. I pass on the ones I don't want to other friends. I'm hoping to get involved in a coupon club soon. My time is so limited - that might not ever happen.

Any way... I hope this helps those of you that have been asking how I do it :-)

Couponing at Walgreens

Ok - so I did this for my sister, and now some friends are asking for it too... so here is the deal I found for T at Walgreens...

Ok - here is what I want you to do for Walgreens. Print the coupons then go in Walgreens and pick up the flyer on your way in the door. You will spend about $10 total, and walk out with $8 in register rewards.

Vaseline Sheer Infusion Lotion (6.8-oz.), $6.99
Get $6.99 RRs

$1.50/1 Vaseline Sheer Infusion printable (IE) or printable (FF)
$1.50/1 Vaseline Sheer Infusion printable (IE) or printable (FF)
Better than FREE after coupon and RRs!

This lotion is really good... and you get $7 register rewards for it... and you get $1.50 off with that coupon. But only use one coupon unless you want to get more register rewards - DO NOT try to pay for another bottle of lotion with the $7 RR - it won't give you another register rewards coupon.

Campbell’s Chicken or Tomato Soup, 2/$1
$1/2 Campbell’s Cooking Soups printable (IE) or printable (FF)
2 FREE after coupon!

You will need the Walgreens flyer you pick up on your way in the door. There is a coupon in there for campbells soup - 2/$1. Use both coupons! The printed one and the walgreens one. That's how it's free. Make sure you print the coupon at home twice!!!

Trident Layers Gum, 2/$2
Get $1 RR wyb 2

Use $0.75/1 Trident Layers Gum printable
$0.25 after coupon!

I didn't get layers gum - they didn't have any in the store. I got 2 spearmint and it worked fine :-) It's on the candy aisle.

Coupons

Ok, so I have decided to be a coupon clipper. I really want to find ways of saving money, and doing everything possible to get out of debt - like yesterday.

So, today was my first big venture of couponing. I poured over the sales papers and coupon books. I have spent hours - yes HOURS, trying to get everything somewhat straight so that I can do this thing.

I went to CVS first. Total bill was around $35 - I actually spent $21, and I now have what I call CVS bucks to use on my next visit ($7 in extra bucks).

Next was Walgreens. Ok, I have to be honest. Walgreens is having a great sale on Frappucino. We love that here. I know that is not a money saver. I know that is an extra expense. But, OH what a lovely extra expense! :-) So, the limit on Frappucinos is 3... of course I bought 3! 4 packs that is... 3 of them! whew! I spent $17 in there on that visit :-) (saved $39 tho) I still have $5 in Walgreens bucks for next time too!

Then came Publix. Now, Publix does buy one get one frees... and I didn't have coupons for all of them... but I think I did ok. I spend $39, and saved $54. On the first trip. Since I wasn't too sure of how it all worked out, I didn't take all my coupons with me. DUMB DUMB DUMB I had to make another trip. I used coupons on some sale items too - that weren't buy one get one free. I thought I did really good. Hubby was with me for the second trip. We spent $28 and saved $58. He wasn't very happy with me. We have stocked up on a lot of items, but he just sees the spending...

So, anyway. My conclusion so far is this. Hopefully, in a month or so, I will have sped up the process so that I'm not spending so much time trying to get ready to go shopping. And maybe my stockpile will be good enough that I can just shop the good sales with the coupons... instead of having to some of the good sales just with good sales...

Randomness

Sometimes I think my thoughts are oh so very profound. Other days I just feel like nothing I say or do makes any kind of difference at all.

This is my little corner to ramble about anything I want. Mostly, I will probably brag on my three amazing sons or my awesome husband.

I guess this is just my chance to be a writer - hahaha
